Threatened Other There are nine different salmon species in WRIA 1. Two of them, chinook and bull trout, have been listed as threatened under the federal Endangered Species Act. Sometimes the term "salmonid" is used to refer to salmon and other fish that are genetically similar, such as trout, whitefish, and char.
